What's the difference between The Baram and The Madang?
The Baram is the portable one. It folds flat, fits in most SUVs, and works great on a balcony or at the beach. Seats up to 4 people. The Madang is bigger and built to stay put — it's the backyard table, built for 6 to 8 people and long sessions. Same charcoal experience, just different situations.
What's included with the table?
Each table comes with the charcoal grill insert, lid cover, stainless steel grill mesh, and grill lifters. Want extras like sauce trays or mesh packs? Add a kit when you order.
How do I get it going?
Light your charcoal in a chimney starter until the coals are hot and lightly grey. Place them into the charcoal grill insert, adjust the airflow, then add your grill pan or mesh on top. Full instructions come in the box.
What charcoal should I use?
Binchotan is the gold standard. It burns hot, clean, and lets the flavor of the meat shine. For everyday use, lump charcoal or hardwood works great. We'd avoid anything with added chemicals. You'll taste the difference.
Is it hard to clean?
Not really. Once it cools down, empty the ash, wipe the table, and you're done. The grill mesh is easy to clean or swap out when needed.
Can I use it camping, at the beach, or on a balcony?
Yes, that's exactly what it's made for. It's perfect for camping, beach days, and balcony dinners. Just make sure you're in a well ventilated outdoor area. Charcoal should never be used indoors.
Can I purchase the charcoal grill insert separately?
At this stage, our charcoal grill inserts are not available to purchase separately. Each insert comes as part of a complete KBBQ PLUG table set, and we currently hold one insert per table.
We're exploring options to make replacement and additional inserts available separately in the future.
How long does shipping take?
We dispatch next business day from Sydney. Metro areas usually arrive within 2–5 business days, while regional areas may take up to 14 business days depending on location.
Due to the large size of the table, orders are shipped in 2 separate packages and require manual handling to ensure safe delivery. It’s normal for one box to arrive shortly before the other.

Can I pay with Afterpay, Klarna, or PayPal?
Yes. We offer Afterpay, Klarna, and PayPal at checkout. Afterpay lets you split your order into 4 interest free payments.
What if I'm not happy with it?
You may return or exchange your order within 14 days of delivery, provided the item is unused, in its original packaging, and in resellable condition. You are responsible for any return shipping charges, unless the item is faulty, damaged, or incorrect.
Do you deliver to regional areas?
Yes. We deliver to regional and remote areas across Australia. A flat delivery fee of $59 (including GST) applies to eligible table orders outside our metropolitan free-delivery zones. This charge helps cover the additional cost of transporting bulky items to regional destinations.
